Laboratory operations take skill, training, maturity and experience to lead. The Chief of operations was hired based on a personal family- church relationship with a founding pathologist. This person has no formal education or training, no prior management or supervisory experience at all, and lacks the maturity, organizational skill and discipline to be in a leadership position. They also have behavioral issues, including serious interpersonal boundary issues, and is directly associated with high turn-over and toxic culture in what should be a professional environment. HR is aware of these issues, and chooses to look the other way, possibly due to the mislead protection of the aforementioned founding executive pathologist.
