Pros

One thing you notice at Avery Dennison is that every door is always open, whether you are engaging a senior leader or an intern, you get the same level of respect and time to share your issues, ideas and thoughts. Wonderful team culture full of many intelligent people from all over the world. Great place to learn and develop your career.

Cons

The compensation is OK in the region, certainly not up there with the Financial institutes, but it could be ever so slightly better, to ensure staff are motivated financially as they are stimulated by the great work and opportunity to develop.

Pros

Lots of great people in lower levels (little Sr. management included) to work with Innovative spirit - related to product development

Cons

- Work very long days - some of us make 50-60hrs weeks - Some Sr. managers have no intercultural competence, they have no clue how to deal with non-US employees - It is clear that supporting functions are much less important than sales - In most cases solutions, options are chosen by people who have little understanding of the details

Pros

Great benefits. The best medical insurance I've ever had.

Cons

Hiring and promoting of incompetent managers, as well as others not based on merit or capabiilty. Every morning is like boarding the Titanic. There is constant upheaval within the org.structure, with each change being less productive than the previous one.
