The management! Absolutely horrible leadership. They play favoritism and certain managers will specifically target people they don’t like. There’s promotion based on favoritism, not skill. The management also allows their friends to take long “smoke breaks” multiple times a day. To the point, that they are not available to help the team out most of the time. However, when I was left by myself for a couple hours, and needed to go to the bathroom, I’m the one who got yelled at for leaving the space.

Senior management is out of touch and don't even know some features exist in their products (either forgot or bought something and never used it). Constant all-hands emergencies related to downtime, prepare to spend nights and weekends on Zoom calls being blamed for a bad release where the real issue at hand is somebody forgot to update the SSL cert. Do you like acronyms? If so, management will pull out whatever buzz acronym they saw in Wired that day, do a hand-wavy explanation and then say they need it. Constant projects get dropped before being brought live for new projects, another reason why management can't keep track about which features actually exist in the live product.
