Cons

Always felt underemployed- I could have done so much more but was not give. The opportunity to expand. Only senior technicians seemed to have the ear of scientists and engineers.

Cons

Not much can be expected for salary growth or technical knowledge unless you're willing to spend more than 60 hours per week on your assigned projects. You will receive no feedback on your performance. There is no paid sick leave for the hourly employees.
