No direction, no leadership, no future

Pros

It's a job and new hires have the opportunity to work with experienced staff that came from DuPont and who have not yet quit. New hires should take advantage of the experience and learn from them. Dupont respected people and trained them. Axalta does neither.

Cons

Don't invest in this company. Axalta is all about "spin". Upper management that has been brought in by the private equity firm that bought the business from DuPont is just spinning a story. It is sad to see a great business go down under incompetent leadership.

Pros

Compensation is above market average for the area. However, the very fact that you are well compensated is used as a blackmailing tactic for working you to death.

Cons

Everything except the above average salary is a negative. The management is extremely corrupt. It's a good old boys club making the decisions behind closed doors. Merit has nothing to do with career progression. Favoritism is rampant and there is no work life balance. HR is competely useless and usually turns on people who escalate issues to the surface. It's a toxic work environment and my recommendation for anyone who wants a decent career is to find other options.

Pros

Compensation and benefits are competitive. Remote and hybrid work is available.

Cons

Axalta is a scary place to work. Since becoming Axalta, they seem to do large headcount reductions every few years. Despite perfect annual reviews, I worry about my future. The culture here is broken.
