      Pros

      Most people do not have to (or just do not) work very hard.

      Cons

      Zero benefits for contractors. Minimal hiring potential. Poor attitudes all around.

      Pros

      Salaries are very competitive, particularly for new hires coming from the outside.

      Cons

      As typical when a financial firm buys a mfg. business, the focus is only on the $$. New Leadership has no respect for employees who came with the business and is instead calling "old friends" to bring them in and replace existing management. The "worker bees" are dropping like flies, leaving for greener pastures, or being let go, while middle management is being staffed from the outside. I predict within 6 months there will be glass offices filled with newly hired managers/directors, with no one to manage, as employees with any knowledge and experience in the coatings business are all applying for careers with other companies.

      Axalta - Good Company / Strong Direction

      Pros

      Competitive pay / benefits. Company is on a strong path as a coatings industry leader with new owners vs. being part of DuPont. DuPont is also a great company / employer, but coatings was not part of their strategy and the business suffered there. New owners and leadership are setting a good direction for strong global growth and leadership.

      Cons

      It was not a good fit for me personally... limited opportunities for career growth.
