      Solid Job but no path forward

      Pros

      Good place to learn new skills as most employees wear multiple hats. Stable business at this point.

      Cons

      Poor leadership with out-of-touch executives. Forcing back to office while they do not show up. No upward mobility. Most people stay for a few years then leave as promotions are not given internally.

      Nice pay and not stressful

      Cons

      Bad management, poor training, no HR support if you have issues with employees. No room for growth, very unprofessional. Management does nothing to help you become well rounded with the company to excel. If you get terminated they want you to sign paperwork so you can’t sue them. Once signed you get “hush” money. Which is not a lot after taxes.

      Pros

      As an intern, I always felt I was working on meaningful projects, some continued beyond my internship. The InventU Summit is a great way for the interns to meet each other and meet higher management.

      Cons

      Axalta advertises high retention of interns to full time employees, yet that is not the case. This year a large portion of interns did not get asked back. In my own experience, HR did not reached out to me or another past-intern by email or phone call. It was only after a month of reaching out to multiple HR people that I got a phone call, only to say my internship was in the wrong field for employment. My past-intern friend still has not received any communication about the status of his employment.
