Not an awful place, but could improve

Pros

Benefits start on day 1 which is nice. Insurance is affordable and they have good options. Vacation is okay, addressed more in cons. Pay is decent. On par with other factories. Room to grow within the company.

Cons

A revolving door of employees. They can't keep people. Pretty much everyone agrees they are overworked. The overtime is mandatory and can become extensive. For working 12 hour shifts it leaves little room for work life balance and switching between day and night shift drains you. The overtime gives you minimal days off and time to recover. Vacation time is the same for 8 hour shifts and 12 hour shifts. This should be adjusted. Giving each shift the same amount of days off vs the same amount of hours. Example: 8 hour shift employees gets 80 hours therefore 10 days off. 12 hour day/night rotating shift employees also get 80 hours therefore they only get 6.5 days off. HR is rude and unhelpful. Never pleasant to talk to. A lot of employees complain. Too much drama within the work place.

Pros

-Company is big on family life. Family comes first. -Company has great lab support with decades of experience to back you up.

Cons

-Company has never offered me any type of employee development. I have access to documents such as Paint 101 (What is paint). But would like handspray training, robotic application training, defect analysis training. -Company is big on setting employee goals, i.e. one year goals and 5 year goals but has never followed through with any of these goals. I would like to be set up for success and be more prepared in the event that I am to step into a management role. -Bonuses are roughly $800-1000. -Your customers employees typically make more than you will. And they get to yell at you.
