Pros

Some leaders are cool, and they get on your side if you have a personal issue.

Cons

Micromanagement, they focus more on seeing hours worked even if the work has no value. As an automation engineer, they asked us to automate 100% of the test cases, even though we only reused 15% or 20% for regression. When they were going to migrate the website to another tool, they still made us work on the site that was going to become obsolete because we couldn't be without work. They could have put us to learn some tool or technology in our free time instead.

All the work we do has value. We are constantly assessing new technologies and prototyping solutions, sometime in parallel with existing technologies. This may be misconstrued as busy work, but serves a very specific purpose in terms of evaluating the efficacy of new platforms, as well as contingency options to support the ongoing needs of the business in the event the experimental technology does not come to fruition.

Pros

Good pay for hours worked.

Cons

Internal Ops Teams are more in the way than helpful for closing loans.

While individual performance from self-motivated and independent-thinking people is critical, we recognize that almost nothing at Axos can be accomplished without the help of our Team Members. Your manager will be able to help with collaboration efforts.

Pros

Good exposure, beautiful office, fun monthly activities

Cons

Shady politics, low pay, inconsistent standards, dishonest management, backstabbing culture, claims to be a meritocracy but actions do not meet values.

Axos is a mission-driven organization with a clearly defined culture and set of values which include working with integrity, trustworthiness, and respect. We expect you brought this up with your supervisor or program manager.
