Pros

Great job if you want to learn about the banking industry and financing commercial real estate. Tons of learning opportunities and room for growth within the company.

Cons

Compensation could be better up front but for those that just want to learn about the career, the pay is sufficient.

Pros

I love that you can bring your entrepreneur mindset and that you are pushed to make positive changes to your business and bank.... It is incredible working for a company where "MERITOCRACY" is imbedded in its culture and knowing that your work and quality of work is what will differentiate yourself among your peers...

Cons

I cannot think of any Cons at this time... NONE

Decent bonus, great coworkers, entrepreneurial spirit, and an ability to do mission-critical work.

Cons

No clear "why", endlessly changing goal posts, and a general distrust of employees.

Thanks for taking the time to share your views. At Axos, our core competitive advantage is our culture, which is both meritocratic and self-governing. What this means in practice is that we reward excellence and results (that speaks to the "entrepreneurial spirit" you mentioned). Rather than distrusting team members, our culture strongly encourages them to be emotionally invested in the mission, to act accordingly, and therefore require less authoritative direction. Authority in our culture accrues to individuals in accordance with their alignment with our values.
