The JBA Program offers high level exposure with a strong emphasis on training and professional development in banking. At Axos, we value merit by rewarding hard work and meaningful contributions with opportunities for advancement and increased compensation. When considering the entirety of our compensation package, the salary plus discretionary merit-based bonus is competitive.

Pros

The occasional paycheck and maybe a few decent coworkers.

Cons

This place is a control-driven nightmare where every move you make is tracked, and trust simply doesn't exist. Management has unrealistic demands, zero clarity, and it's a culture that thrives on intimidation rather than support. The COO is notorious for being loud and abusive, which sets the tone for the entire environment. Onboarding was so insane that it took months before I even had the tools to do my job properly, yet somehow the blame still fell on me. It feels like the whole setup exists to protect managers while employees take the fall, and the high turnover speaks volumes.

Worst Organization I’ve ever worked for

Pros

I really wish I had something good to say. I started here optimistic but unfortunately I can’t really recommend this place.

Cons

This place prides themselves on being innovative and collaborative, yet nothing about this organization is. The leadership is non-existent, on every level. If you have a question, be prepared to have your hand slapped down. From the moment you walk into the office, you can immediately feel the lack of life, enthusiasm, culture, and collaborative spirit. No one at all is excited to work - not even the people who get paid appropriately. They’ve already sold their soul and whatever bit of life they had. They demand 5 days in office yet engaging with any colleagues whom aren’t on your team or of similar status is frowned up and discouraged. The company is bogged down with middle managers who micro-manage every aspect of your day to day responsibilities. You’ll be taught one thing and then expected to do something completely different. Everyday. Half of the company is some level of VP - yet barely are. Everything is incredibly vague and undefined. For this to be a bank, is incredibly mind blowing. Goals? Never talked about, Mission statement? Just as vague. Direction? Who knows. The least you can do if these are things you’re willing to put up with, is go to an institution that’ll pay appropriate for the level of work/experience they ask for. Benefits are less than decent. “Bonuses” end up really being about $400-600. If you want a true soul-less 9-5, with absolutely everything you do under a microscope and under the eyes of Big Brother, while being paid drastically less than market rate for your experience, while getting absolutely no guidance, support, or mentorship - then this is the place for you.
