Terrible senior leadership

Pros

Most of local people are great. Local leadership tries to engage associates, but tends to get shut down by Sr Leadership in San Diego. Some of the VP’s started great initiatives to get associate feedback and create a better environment. They truly took the time to listen and make changes. Most managers and VP’s locally were amazing and great leaders. A few VP’s you could tell truly cared and wanted to change the culture. Great opportunities to move up quickly since employee retention is an issue.

Cons

The Sr Leadership in San Diego and HR as a whole are terrible. Some of the worst leadership I have ever seen. Way to focused on the bank and could care less about the Clearing firm. Sr leadership and HR never spoke to associates, but surely took a lot of trips to Omaha to sit in an office all day and not speak to anyone. That money could have been used in a lot of better ways. The San Diego leadership always had time to spy on associates and make sure no one was working from home and no one was sending IM’s that spoke poorly about the leadership. If the Sr leadership spent that time interacting with associates and listening to feedback instead of spying on employees, it would be a better place. Axos CEO Greg, never visits Omaha. It’s a reflection of how much he cares about the Clearing business. The pay is terrible compared to market. HR says they will do pay studies but nothing changes. 5% increase for a promotion is embarrassing at best. One of the ways to get a raise is to get another job and then Axos will likely counter offer. Maybe Axos should value associates all the time instead of just when someone threatens to leave. Funny that employees are not allowed to work remote but the HR rep moved from an office location to another state and works 100% remote. I cannot state enough how terrible and incompetent the San Diego Sr Leadership team is and how little they seem to care about Omaha and the people in Omaha.

Pros

The people you meet in the company are really nice

Cons

Management is flat and unorganized. There aren't procedures written in place You ask for help and it takes days to get an answer from management. The FVP during my interview asked how much I was making at my previous company and that is HR issue. The company doesn't care about their employees
