Pros

Good entry level position to learn a multitude of skills starting day 1

Cons

Everything else. The pay is awful for comparable positions at other companies. They'll respond with trying to tell you the pay is competitive due to stock and company investments that you could MAYBE get after YEARS of working there. It is not the same, and not better. You will be underpaid and over worked. Even though it's entry level, you will be performing a System Administrator level of responsibilities and tasks. If you are performing 9 out of 10 tasks at once, management will get on your case about the 1 thing you aren't doing. Micromanagement in the extreme. They'll dress this up as, "We're a meritocracy, so it's to reward the hardest workers." Which sounds great in theory. But in reality, if someone is doing 5 people's jobs, you have to be doing 6 for recognition. This creates a culture of burnout and stress, not healthy competition. Which is why turnover is so high.

Axos believes in training and development to create career growth and advancement opportunities from within. Our bonus program is intended to reward based on one's contribution. It is most beneficial to those who remain at Axos longer term as the vesting schedule for our stock grants is 3 years (1/3 vests per year). The upside potential to having a cash and stock bonus will allow you to receive an immediate cash reward in addition to the opportunity to generate long term wealth.

Our JBA program is for recent graduates as an introduction into banking, designed for learning and development with exposure to many areas of Axos. When JBAs complete the program, they are on an accelerated career path. Those who perform well receive compensation increases throughout the program.

Pros

This company has nothing special to offer you.

Cons

Toxicity is rampant in the work atmosphere of Axos Bank. This company is just not a good place to work for due to the negative and stressful work environment. And this kind of environment is created by the hostile and negative attitude of the management. I would never recommend working for this horrible company.

The Junior Banking Analyst (formerly called Junior Credit Analyst) program is meant to provide recent graduates with accelerated opportunities for exposure and learning which is one of the highlights of the program. Analysts have the opportunity to do real meaningful work and are given more responsibility than is typical for entry-level roles. The program is designed for those who want the opportunity to dive in and learn through hands-on work and are excited to tackle new challenges. Most analysts complete 3-4 rotations within the scope of the program. The most successful analysts are those that take the initiative to engage themselves in additional projects to help drive automation and efficiencies and can thrive in our fast-paced environment.
