Please avoid the graduate scheme! In fact, steer clean entirely.
Pros
* Good name to have on your CV
Cons
* Graduate scheme is really poor. They place you in a normal full time role and leave you there for the entire time... and then just pay you less because you’re a graduate. * Pay reviews are completely inconsistent across the company, entirely dependent on where you fall in the company. * They are doing a lot of redundantcys at the moment * Far too much middle management * Management in general don’t understand that you actually need Engineers to follow up on contracts * They had an audit on the graduate scheme in 2017 in which it went really poorly and then they didn’t release the results to the current graduates. I saw the report and it reflected everything I thought about the scheme - shows it wasn’t just me. If I remember correctly it fell in the bottom 20% quartile for the industry. I could keep going on and on and on but in all seriousness I am not sour about my time here as I would not be where I am today. This company needs to get its act together. If you are a graduate looking to apply here, please reconsider. A lot of other companies will give you the support you need, you will not find that support here. Finally, I have learnt a lot about culture since leaving this company and how important it is to your daily life. This company has no culture. You simply come in, do work, leave. There is nothing else. I urge people to find a company with a good culture in which you fit, it makes a world of difference.
