Pros

There are some great people here and some of the work is interesting. It used to be an amazing place to work

Cons

Where do I start? The politics between certain execs The cronyism The cheapskate approach to everything - why get the best person when you can put your cheap as chips mate into the role CEO is out of his depth The morale is now rock bottom Interim HR function who are incompetent and treat people like dirt Now living under regime of fear They don't want engineering or sales on the board!!??? Not important enough Promote failed people

Pros

- Good work life balance. - Flexible working hours. - Option to work from home. - Management at lower level is good; suggestions from the team are listened to, action is often taken based on team suggestions and processes are reviewed/refined on a regular basis.

Cons

- Low pay - around 10000 below market rate for myself and others I've spoken to. - Benefits could be better; benefits were health insurance for myself, 5% employer pension contribution, discounted dental insurance. - Extremely high attrition rate among engineers, people aren't replaced. - Low morale among remaining employees. - Lack of opportunities to move around within AI, or to move to other areas of BAE Systems.

Pros

There are some interesting bespoke projects, particularly in the government space

Cons

After multiple acquisitions, the organisation is bloated with senior managers who (a) don't understand the products, and (b) are more concerned about box ticking than building the best possible software Some products have been neglected and have gone from market leaders to being woefully behind the curve. Engineering salaries have been stagnant for the past 2/3 years
