Highly technical project. Decent salary. If you have the right manager you should be a CEO in no time!
Cons
Middle of nowhere, progression is manger dépendant so only if you have a manager who understands how everyone progresses up the ladder in BAE then it is worth being there. Long lead project so you may get stuck with some very boring admin work if there for only a short period. Not recommended for a start off career unless you get in when there is interesting work which is a hit and miss or you plan to be in Barrow-in-Furness for 10+years. The Benefits available are very crap for a company as big as BAE systems. Recent efforts have shown they are doing something about it but it is extremely slow and not well thought through. A vast majority of the barrow locals are very backwards and stuck in a shipyard mentality.
