Pros
Looks after its employees and provides a lot of opportunities and if you want it, responsibility. Movement between roles in the company is relatively straightforward. A job for life!
Cons
Suffers from "not invented here" and can be slow to move and very bureaucratic. If you're good and progress up the career ladder quickly, then you are penalised from a pay perspective often earning much lower than your peers
