Pros

Good people on the ground Interesting clients Good rates of pay.

Cons

They can view their employees as nothing but resources to keep head count high on a project. They state that you can move internally to other roles you may find interesting but will keep you on each project as long as possible (basically until you threaten to leave and even maybe not then) Certain senior managers don't care about the wellbeing of the people on the ground, only the money they generate. This results in a high turnover of employees. If you haven't received something in writing it didn't happen, even if you have had numerous discussions with management about it. And they are very reluctant to put anything in writing.

Pros

- Opportunities for graduates are far greater than other software firms and consultancies - Workforce is very young, friendly and mostly intelligent - If you join as a graduate and perform well, you can move up the ladder very quickly

Cons

- Opportunities for experienced hires are very poor. People with great experience and strong track records often find themselves performing monotonous roles. Many experienced hires leave within 1 year of joining - Compensation is far below industry standards; increasing compensation usually requires a promotion - Many of the line managers are chosen purely for their technical skills; they have little talent or skills in helping their people forge a desirable career path
