      Well paid, but little opportuntity for growth

      Pros

      Benefits and pay are very good.

      Cons

      Technical leadership is poor. Lack of real technical mentoring and opportunities to upskill. Management seems intent on creating new programmes every year that never amount to anything. Performance reviews are a joke. Came to Detica since I believed the hype that they were the smart ones, but could see no evidence. No different from the other consultancy firms.

      Political and bureaucratic with poor leadership

      Pros

      Good pay and pension, holidays flexible working with some some very motivational staff which I really enjoyed working with. A good starting place for a career

      Cons

      Political bullying culture is still evident. Process over common sense Health & Safety made. Bureaucracy gone mad underpinned by unnecessarily complex processes which results in process being adhered to but little of value delivered.
