Great company if you don't like doing much meaningful work

Laid back environment, Knowledgeable employees, Lots of time off

Cons

Projects always behind schedule and over-budget, Management doesn't seem to know what they're doing half the time. There is a huge age gap between employees. Most engineers are over 40 and out of shape. Because they've been doing their job so long they aren't open to new and fresh ideas of some newer employees.

Good place to work for a person not wanting a career but a good work life balance and no need to take work home

You dont get stressed working at BAE (there's no point) You get six months sick leave You get a works canteen with reasonable food (sometimes) You are more likely to recover from a heart attack (due to own ambluance service) I.e. good work life balance

Cons

Few career prospects in engineering. Too much inertia company has too much legacy in terms of bad practice dead weight etc. Boring job Bad person management
