Terrible leadership at Digital Intelligence
Pros
Interesting projects. Meaningful work. Some really nice colleagues- particularly in Space area (loved the In-Space acquisition folk)
Cons
Big Arrogant and Expensive. Tick, tick and tick. Was really hard to navigate the large, sluggish systems and be agile. Working with the space people to penetrate a new market was almost impossible as top level management couldn’t understand why customer wouldn’t want us in preference to incumbent. ‘But, but… we’re BAE…!’ No agility in pricing or delivery. Leadership of DI has zero self-awareness and a Trumpian approach to comms! Most of the best senior leadership left or was fired and replaced by company favourites. BAES doesn’t know what it’s doing with DI and until it really grasps the opportunity it is doomed to fail. Terrible shame as DI has arguably (objectively) the smartest people in BAES working there and it is letting them and HMG down terribly by not looking after them or deploying them properly.
