Organisational size meant outdated policies around flex time (i.e. written contractual approval and change needed for longer/shorter lunch breaks or different working hours), slow pay/promotional review cycles etc.

I've spent nearly 5 years with the business, I worked hard, gave everything I could to the business. Gave my all to my job but also did extra things to aid development and progression as they said this was what they wanted for the business. It's a mess, redundancy round took place and comms was terrible, they say they're employee oriented but focus on the business changes. The business remodel was supposed to be better for the company and it's not, we joined BAE Group and things are worse than they were when were Applied Intelligence. We have new senior leaders who don't seem to be able to find solid group built on employees satisfaction. They're really good at upsetting the workforce. After everything I've given the business I'm no further in my career, they say your career is in your hands, you get out what you put in. Absolute rubbish! If you're an engineer absolutely, you can progress quick because you're customer facing, your a billable cost to the business. For us in a role that isn't, good luck. Even though a project couldn't run without the support and work we put in, we don't get any recognition for it.
