Pay below average. No bonus for working in London, or for being in office all the time, when there are people working from home.

-A lot of technologies can be quite niche and bespoke (depends on department but my area didn't have much technologies that translate elsewhere). -While there is a career development program it can be very slow depending when you join i.e. the demand for a more senior position is not always there. -With such a large company when negotiating promotion or pay bump you cannot talk directly to whoever is responsible just someone will review your performance on forms and docs. -While there are many departments within BAE working on different things, joining a new area is exactly like applying for a new job. -While there are a lot of training resources and courses you can take, hard to get certifications if you want one.
