Pros

Great benefits. 5% 401k match. Plenty of overtime if you want it

Cons

The work shift pattern. 4 on, 4 off. Which alternates EACH SET from days/nights. 12 hour shifts. That typically turns into (due to overtime) 6 on 2 off. So a circadian rhythm does not exist. 1 day is to recover and catch up on sleep; the other day is to adjust to the other shift youre going onto. Makes it really difficult to maintain a good work/life balance. PRAY you don't get SAP plant. If you can avoid SAP then you will have a shot at success. SAP is a revolving door. Avoid at all costs. Brutal work environment. No moral and no one trying to boost moral. Its everyone vs everyone else. Should be a team but far from it. People stab in the back to advance their career. Sadly it works.

Pros

Good pay and excellent benefits; BASF bought the company I worked for and immediately adjusted salaries upward to their payscale. BASF brought in an international culture which was fascinating and exciting!

Cons

All good things must come to an end... BASF relocated all administrative positions to NA Headquarters in NC. I was offered a relocation package but was unable to accept due to my family living in MO.

Pros

I worked in corporate IT. The team is a very bright group of individuals, and everyone works together to get the job done. Management is very supportive of staff, and will have your back most of the time. Lots of opportunities to grow your knowledge and work with other teams on endless projects.

Cons

I didn't have anything bad to say about the company. Some people felt management was maybe a little scared of higher-ups, but I think it's just following direction.
