Pros

Great resources and the opportunity to work with really talented, smart, and nice people. People had a great sense of personal integrity throughout the organization, and even though I was a woman engineer in a very male-dominated business, I was treated with respect.

Cons

Promotions and opportunities can be biased to Germans, but this is a German-owned company, so this is not a total shock. Depending on where you (manufacturing/plant versus directly in a business), there is not always a good work/life balance and long hours are pretty standard.

Pros

Very good benefits, pay, location. Historical base products have past depth in innovation.

Cons

Non technically oriented leadership, falling somewhat behind on the technical front as that aspect is no longer as stressed as 10 years ago.

Pros

Big company, some training for employees, international, interesting responsibilities, leader in its field. The Verbund is pretty cool.

Cons

Atmosphere is not good in some of the business. Beaucratic. Job Market Employees treated as "second class". Less training, no bonus, no company retirement plan - although you may be told chances to get hired permanently are good, it is getting harder and harder due to the hiring freeze. Your are really serving a purpose for the company and therefore you really feel like you are being taken advantage of - so I can really recommend to not do it.
