Pros

decent working environment good work and life balance

Cons

Everything from marketing to IT is controlled from corporate head quarters in CH, this has proved disastrous. Thinking is no longer required or even encouraged, if anything it is discouraged. The current management has no innovated ideas and their only strategy is to cut expenses. The past 7 years or so the business of Ciba has been going out of business.

Pros

4 weeks vacation for those with PhD from day 1. Decently competent professionals.

Cons

The company on a downward spiral due to incompetent and arrogant management. Micromanagement from headquarters and reporting is downright ridiculous.
