      Not the same bank since BBVA took over and that is not good!

      Pros

      Direct managers cared and backed you up if you were right Coworkers helpful and worked well together Vacation time was plentiful even for the lower grades

      Cons

      Change controls and procedures often bypassed based on political pull within the organization. Project managers do not plan projects very well. Key issues discovered during execution phase and not during planning. Core upgrade not going as well as press releases claim. Bank has layoffs about every October and chooses to lay off those with long years and not those who underperform. bank technology follows no strict standard

      -Depending on regional manager, good support -Internal leads and referrals provided -Licensed bankers are part of your sales team

      -Low pay for the industry -Archaic systems that are down far too often -Lack of accountability in middle management -Lack of motivation across the board -Company doesn't like to adapt to new ideas

      District level management a joke

      None that I can think of.

      Cons

      District level management with a god-complex. Dallas area DSOM seems to think she is the end-all, be-all. Refuses to admit mistakes, disrespectful, dismissive, inconsiderate of employees. Gossips about managers to other managers and is deeply embroiled in office politics. She rules by fear and intimidation rather than gaining support and cooperation by being respectable. Also, understaffed branches which make it impossible to accommodate customers and employees needs in a competent and balanced manner. Running a branch with a skeleton crew as a daily standard is just bad.
