The company culture is about sycophancy and fluff. The company lies about it's "We do the right thing" motto. I've been here over 3 years and I know I need to leave. I believe they are going to eliminate all positions in my department by 2025 and outsource the work. Pay increases are minimal, even after putting out extra effort to move up. I have lost more benefits in 3 years than I care to recall, including a rather generous PTO schedule that rolled over to now "Use it or lose it". Even that was reduced this past year. The company believes in forcing it's will on employees, rather than discussing and trying to apply logic to persuade. Pay increases are minimal, even after putting out extra effort to move up. I do not feel I have a voice and there is a general pervasive feeling that a person who questions policy and planned direction will be outcast. The company's idea of customer service is lacking. They have a system of required computer courses that does not end! Once you complete one, they dump more on you and there is no way out. Not done before required date? Managers will not let that happen! True experience: We had a change in title this year to appear more attractive to future employers and to create a better pathway to promotion, in my manager's words. My first question was "What is that pathway--can you share the company's guidelines?" The answer floored me: "They haven't developed those yet. It is based on time acquired with the company." What company worth their weight changes employee titles for employees and offers no plans for the employees to see the pathway to promotion? BD does!
