      BD's mission statement is what it's all about at the end of the day!

      Pros

      One of BD's most rewarding experiences with BD has been the opportunity to attend BD University classes and have the opportunity to grow within your department or organization. Growing and developing people in this changing BD world is not easy due to the current workload each associate has to contend with. I love BD and it's in my blood!

      Cons

      People, mission statement and job opportunities are what BD has bragging rights on. BD is very selective and I have noticied that personality is one of the top ingredients while interviewing.

      Pros

      Looks good on resume as company has good reputation based on Franklin Lakes, NJ headquarters. Some good associates using as learning ground and seeking new positions elsewhere after 1 - 2 years.

      Cons

      Toxic culture. Many associates not qualified to perform their responsibilities. Management doesn't have a clear direction and doesn't communicate to Managers. Associates tend to have spent whole careers at BDDS and are not willing to learn or to incorporate best practices from other companies. Associates resistant to any type of change initiative and actively work to undermine change initiatives. Management supports long tern employees rather than new hires with new ideas. Associate bad behavior often rewarded b/c it's easier than addressing the issue.
