Pros

Mostly strong and well directed management aligned with company goals. Market leading healthcare products designed, built and marketed by well qualified people with a goal of making healthcare better, safer and more efficient.

Cons

Typical large company issues: Communication between depts, slow to adopt new tech to support employees (new CAD versions, computer HW, business mgmt tools, etc). HR is far removed from direct employee interaction, all done online, not effective. Also, a fast paced, sometimes high stress environment.

Pros

fair training opportunity; if lucky will have warm-hearted colleagues / seniors helping but everyone worries about his / her own rice bowl so team members often fight for lime light to keep afloat.

Cons

A space where no one really speaks his / her mind as people do disappear suddenly (asked to leave). So called 360 degree review is scary as if spies are everywhere. Too many small interest groups and cronyism. Team members can compete internally rather than work collaboratively. Disposable culture: employees can be seen as disposable resources; no real intention to develop their career; politics among middle management make it very difficult for subordinates to truly deliver
