Company mission is wonderful; the leadership in some divisions is clearly not

The company's overall mission of advancing the world of health rang true during my time there. Good pay and benefits, PTO is fair, work-life balance is great.
Cons
The senior leadership in some divisions is not only incompetent, but also vindictive. Poor financial decision making during the COVID era has meant several layoffs in 2023. A remarkable number of the folks targeted for layoffs have been talented, senior employees who - per BD's own "speak up" mantra - respectfully and constructively challenged some of their leaders' decisions. In my opinion, it cost them their jobs. I am not the only person who believes this to be true. Not all groups at BD are like this - it's a huge company after all. However, this particular group's behavior does speak volumes about executive leadership and HR allowing it to happen, not once, but several times.
