Pros

Decent entry level work for people with no degree, if you have a degree don't even think about working here.

Cons

First and foremost, wow, the turn over is so incredibly high I meet new people everyday even in a recessionary environment! Where to begin...no advancement, very little training, never recognized for hard work, office politics and last but not least, pay is horrible! First of all pay is very low by industry standards and upper management will use every trick in the book not to give you a raise so they can cut operational cost and get their fat bonus. Speaking of bonuses, expect a whopping $150 Christmas bonus...a word to the wise, it can be very tempting but be careful not to spend it in one place. Oh, and one more thing, the workforce is cut so so so thin so be prepared to do the work of 2 people. As a side note, this company is run by very tight knit circle of family and if you're not one of them then good luck advancing.

Pros

* Really nice location in our city. * Positive work atmosphere on the operational level. * Unlike European companies, hard work is rewarded. * Even though it's a global company, in everything you do, you feel it's still family-owned by people who live and breathe the business. * Many learning and advancement opportunities if you're willing to take them and prove yourself capable. Also, flexible hours. * While there definitely is "One BDP"; the company offers enough freedom for local offices and departments to do things their way as long as it fits within the wider BDP framework.

Cons

* Company is slow in committing to new hires, which in the current growth cycle means there's a near constant stateof understaffing. * Even though the company is still facing massive growth and positive figures on the local level; upper management still try to hide behind larger economical trends as an excuse to slow investments in their personnel (travel stops, stagnating wages, the previously mentioned understaffing, etc ...). * Antiquated and poorly maintained IT systems. There has been some small improvements but still a long way to go. * Also IT: When a new system becomes implemented, the testing phase should be much wider and more global. Some newly implemented changes might work well for American offices, but regularly break local customs. * Sharing of knowledge across offices, or even across departments in larger offices can still be improved.
