Great if you want to relax on the job - terrible if you are hungry for work
Pros
BMC Software office in Pune provides excellent facilities. Good technology infrastructure is provided to employees. The office has great atmosphere and professional look and feel. The pantries and cafeteria are really good. The products are good and many are lead in the market segments. You get to work with some very good technical people in specific groups. It is very easy to do minimal amount of work and to survive as long as you do not anger your immediate management.
Cons
Company lacks strategic vision and you can be frustrated about the changes that are made to the product roadmaps often. The senior management does not know how to take large products forward and lack the energy to do it. Too much of internal politics exists and it means that the managers are spending more time on manipulation than on actual work.
