Pros

Good hourly pay. Great co workers

Cons

Since it merged with M&I, employees are forced to work mandatory overtimes, weekends, shorter lunch periods. These overtimes use to be voluntary. They closed the Rockford call center and put them all out of work. They now have laid off Buffalo Grove Call cntr staff members...and now hold times are too long.....squeezing as much out of whoever is left. The moral is at its lowest level in fifteen years. You are responsible for upsells and closed book dollars, yet you have no control over the close of a sale. Your generated referral is passed to another unknown agent who you have to hope will call the customer back and close your sale....if you dont book they put you on probation or fire you. How can you be responsible for closed book dollars when you dont actually do the closing???Remaining employees are hoping to get laid off b/c severance for the others was not too bad. Really hate it here. Dont they realize that great customer service comes from happy employees....and the layoffs were done after their highest quarter earnings yets. Money grubbin bank!

Pros

I went through a grueling four-interview process with this team in the Chicago area. Throughout the stages, the feedback was overwhelmingly positive, even reaching the point of discussing travel arrangements for an out-of-state visit to the office. However, after weeks of engagement and being led to believe an offer was imminent, I was met with a generic rejection. While I understand hiring needs change, dragging a candidate through four rounds and discussing travel logistics without a serious intent to hire is unprofessional and shows a lack of respect for people's time.

Cons

Marathon interviews are selfish and rude

Pros

Still have the same team that I had at BOTW

Cons

Micromanaging. This bank was not equipped to handle the loans from BOTW and after being merged for over a year, still isn’t. Very slow processes. Leadership does not care about employees in the field. Raises are low, bonuses are much less than BOTW. Insurance is more expensive with less coverage. BMO is all talk, no action.
