Culture has become cold and very corporate now that it is owned by BNY Mellon - lots of red tape to get past in order to get things done.
Management is no longer empowered to make decisions.
Company as it is now just talks the talk - it wants efficiency to save $$$, but all legitimate solutions are declined. Company promises to reward the hard workers and to issue hold accountability for the less than ideal employees - no one associate has been addressed either way. It gives no incentive to work hard, only enough to not be laid off.
Positive morale has been gone for over a year.
Used to be a great company with tight local values in our building back in the Russell/Mellon days - now it is a lackluster enviornment with no promise of advancing, no positive vibes, only siloed departments that do not work with each other.
Definitely much less communication from Executives now that Bob Kelly is no longer CEO. Communication has gone to the wayside.
If you want to work for a place where its headquarters on the East Coast are out of touch with your office and frankly give the impression that your location is expendable, then this is the place for you.
