      Decent company for work and life balance - technology out dated.

      Pros

      Work life balance good very stable company Generous with vacations longer you work there

      Cons

      Lowest pays in industry Lack of growth Lack of creativity Lack of technology They are terrible at rewarding good deeds. Your better off acting like a fool and they will give you less work, never seen anything like it. It won't matter your pay will not decline or be raised. After Tarp they started over regulating there is a new policy every week.

      Pros

      Some areas contain tremendously talented people. There is global recognition associated with certain financial services along with a compelling reputation for stability. A good company for mid-career.

      Cons

      The over all culture and environment is not for everyone. Though success is possible, there is more bureaucracy than one can ever truly imagine. Policies can be over reaching. Stated function titles are often just a euphemism for ad hoc project manager and micro managing is abound.

      Pros

      good benefits and good work/life balance are the only good things this company has going for it. one last pro is you don't work for BNY Mellon yet... You'll have more success bartending!

      Cons

      This company has boasted they are number 1 in this area for years now but they do not take care of their employee. How can you be number 1 and have nothing to show for it. Ergo, you can work your butt off but it is a slim chance that you will be recognized or promoted within the first 4 years.
