      Pros

      Good people to work with. Majority of benefits and compensation are better than other companies. Have ability to have home access and can work from home when necessary. Plenty of opportunities to be involved in community programs and employee activities to met and mingle with other employees outside of your work circle.

      Cons

      Working for management that does not care about your promotion or career path. Can get cornered with no easy way to get out. Recognition is fickle depending on your management. You only get recognized if you report to the right kind of management that care directly about his or her employees.

      Pros

      BNY Mellon is a great place to get started, however, it can be difficult to get out of. Other hiring manager's outside do not place as high a value on the experience received.

      Cons

      Given that the culture has been on cost control, there are not as many people doing a specific job, so the employees are given the chance to do a their jobs. This limits the risk of being laid off during lean times, but also results in everyone just doing the least amount of work needed to gain a paycheck each week.
