BNY Software Developer Engineering reviews

By far the worst company i have ever worked for. I have consistently over performed and had excellent reviews with almost no pay raises. Technology decisions are made by people higher up that have no knowledge and make bad decisions. Knowing your being forced to work on things that will hurt the company is not very motivating. They try to convince their employees to stay rather than show it. I have moved to another company and my salary has doubled. All good people leave fast when they get to know the company so nobody on your team is going to be smart. The health insurance deductibles are so high that you may as well not have it. Getting the simplest thing done that should take one minute often takes weeks. The strategy is to hire 20 unskilled workers as opposed to 5 skilled workers that create awful products. It is a giant waste of money and they must know it. They waste so much money. I can go on for pages and pages but i have to stop somewhere. There is literally nothing good about this place. Even if you are unemployed dont work here. It will take up valuable time you could be using to find a real job. Im so glad i finally got sick enough to make the move to a wonderful new company.

Some typical Wall St. politics.. managers efforts go into handling politics instead of caring about technology and doing good work.
