Pros

Good Compensation. A lot of talented Seniors and Managers to learn from.

Cons

limited exposure to Public Clients. Long Hours. If the client is big enough, Partners and Managers are willing to bend over backwards to please them.

We also pride ourselves on the client experience and I am glad that you were able to view what makes our firm special. It's gone downhill

Pros

Fair compensation for the industry and area. SF office has a very collaborative attitude. Reviews and promotion opportunities every 6 months allows you to get advanced promotions.

Cons

Public accounting is just a lot of work anywhere you go. Vesting schedule for employer match is pretty long, you only get 20% vested a year with no cliff. Transparency is talked about a lot but has gone way down, when they fired people in early 2020 they asked them not to send a farewell email and "just let your friends know". I'm also not a huge fan of the photos of Black professionals on our LinkedIn that are stock photos. The whole company is pretty White/Asian, which is the accounting industry in general but why put up stock photos to pretend we are more diverse than we are, seems sleazy.

Thank you for your candor. Prior to switching to a remote work environment, BPM has always had a very collaborative office experience. We pride ourselves on selecting diverse candidates who want to grow within our firm. We provide promotional and growth opportunities several times throughout the year and this is what sets us apart from other firms. BPM continues to celebrate diversity & inclusion initiatives in the workplace and we are excited for additional opportunities in 2021 to remain a top employer. I would love to hear more about your experience. Please reach out to Rblasi@bpmcpa.com (Chief People Officer)
