Gain Experience on Lots of Cases

Business Outlook

Pros

Get to work on lots of varied cases with data from many big name clients. Great place to start a career and move up (that's what I did). Good compensation.

Cons

Staffing should be more evenly distributed. Late nights and days with "nothing to do" should be smoothed out.

Pros

Excellent colleagues, pretty decent work-life balance, fairly good on-the-job training, wide range of industries available

Cons

The BRG model is set up to advance you through the hierarchy to become an expert witness, and unfortunately other priorities get lost along the way. For example, there is very little cross-industry diversification: an associate in a healthcare-drive office has a scarce chance of being involved in public-policy work elsewhere.

Pros

Privately owned entrepreneurial Environment, outstanding compensation, bonus and insurance programs; and flexible work environments for self motivated senior professionals.

Cons

Significant promotions are dominated by your ability to bring in work and keep others busy. Phenomenal growth brings logistical support challenges as company scales up.
