Pros

Benefits start day one. Great products - but depending on your position, you rarely, if ever, get to see or experience them. A lot of good people.

Cons

Had no plan for eventual downturn. Overhired. So many issues on the Marine side - hundreds of boats sitting in inventory since last year. Missed key ship dates, and boats had quality issues. Burned bridges with many dealers. Seems everything that could possibly go wrong did. It’s going to take quite awhile to stabilize the business. Some employees I needed to work to do my job made it very difficult. One was always MIA. The other had zero clue on how to do their own job. Processes seem practically non-existent in a number of areas/departments. The company acts and runs like a new company with 100 employees.

Pros

BRP gives its employees many opportunities to take on projects and have ownership early on. There is a strong culture of collaboration and people are happy to assist when asked for help. As an organization, BRP is very competitive and it is fueled by its people's drive. Everybody's goal is to exceed expectations.

Cons

Due to BRP's fast growth, some of its supporting functions do not reflect the size of the organization, which can be frustrating. The structure is constantly evolving to adapt to the growth and it can be destabilizing for people who prefer stability. It is a fast pace environment so there is not much hand-holding. You must be a fast learner and feel comfortable navigating without step-by-step instructions because those do not exist.
