The company is trying to innovate in the telecommunications space, and reshape itself with the changing environment. The people at BT are changing too - there is a cultural shift occurring whereby people are shelving the old mantra of 'clocking in' and are taking much more ownership for their results and responsibilities. The competition is tough yet BT is attempting to stay ahead, whilst still keeping its regulatory supervisors at bay - such as Offcom and others in the UK.

BT is a world of opportunity. I have been supported in doing five completely different jobs in just over 10 years. Have only worked in the UK, but want to work in one of the 169 other countries we operate in, which is absolutely possible. Flexible working is positively encouraged. The company has changed significantly over the past 6 years with Ben Verwayaan as CEO. People who join find it fast paced and challenging. There is an open and honest culture and a positive working atmosphere.
