Pros

Backblaze is a great company to work for, with fantastic coworkers and truly impressive benefits. There’s real opportunity for growth and advancement. Like many growing SMBs, we’ve faced our share of challenges getting everything right, but the intent has always been genuine. Our product is strong, and the recent leadership additions—especially Marc, our CFO, and Jason, our CRO—have made a significant positive impact in moving the company forward.

Cons

A few missteps have happened along the way, but I truly appreciate the level of transparency we get during our weekly company meetings. Our CEO consistently shows accountability—he’s fair, humble, and approachable, which is a rare combination, especially in Silicon Valley.

Pros

Backblaze is one of those companies that is "just different," in a great way. I can confidently say it's one of the best professional environments I’ve worked in. I genuinely believe that Backblaze fosters a culture of collaboration, innovation, and respect. Leadership has been approachable and genuinely invested in employee growth and well-being. Over my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to take on impactful projects, develop new processes, and work alongside some pretty amazing people. It’s refreshing to be part of a team where contributions are recognized and ideas are valued.

Cons

Like all maturing companies there can be growing pains around scaling & process improvement. There are changes happening as we evolve and grow, but I do feel like there is a good work/life balance and opportunity to contribute to making an impact at Backblaze.
