No breaks, management was horrible, but the most appalling thing was the sexist attitudes which caused me to quit without notice.
I first became aware of the sexism when I had to order my chef jacket. Chef jackets are usually unisex but they had them separated between male and female which I was fine with cause women are usually smaller. However they call the men's chef jackets "chef jackets" while the women's chef jackets are called "princess chef jackets". Not only is that sexism but it's patronizing. I told the manager I wanted just a chef jacket and he was fine with this. However he would say low key sexist comments about women a lot.
At the location I worked at there were a lot of Mexican foreigners hired which again is fine and I didn't care - most of them were nice. However a few of them would commonly use the word "mami" when referring to their COWORKERS. This isn't appropriate and I said this multiple times yet nothing was done which led to me quitting. The men would also always try to lift items for me and call the women - their coworkers - cute regularly. Again nothing was done about this and all of the managers except for two were women.
