      The best consulting firm to work for.

      Pros

      Bain has an amazing culture. The office atmosphere is friendly and social, and there are many friendships between consultants in the office. The opportunities for professional growth are unparalleled. Bain consultants have an incredible success rate at getting into top 3 business schools (Harvard, Stanford, Wharton.)

      Cons

      The hours can be long. Hours depend on the particular case you're on. However, even when you have long hours, it helps foster camaraderie and you make the closest relationships with your team.

      Great place to start your career but leave after 2 yrs!

      Pros

      Great for CV and network building. Particularly good place to start your Career if you are straight out of school. Exposure to many industries and great at learning how to break down complex problems. Training courses are great and can be overseas. Opens up many doors later on especially if you want to move into industry.

      Cons

      Not having a life! No time off. No real diversity in the office as most people have or are doing an MBA from 1 of ~5 schools, most people are not really aware of what else is out there. Quite easy to get caught up in the world of consulting. Not sure how well consulting equips you for executing real work in industry.

      Amazing learning experiences. Lots of prestige. Sense of accomplishment when completing work. Dynamic environment, Relatively manageable lifestyle Better hours than ibanking and competitor Mckinsey Great exit opps into Private Equity, Hedge Funds and F500 companies Amazing culture led by young and driven people Focus is on implementation and data, which has delivered superior results over the year Our clients outperform their market 4 to 1

      Cons

      Long hours Smaller company, and perhaps less name recognition than McKinsey. Very quantatively driven which can become tedious at times Perhaps too much focus on PE which could limit exit opps into F500 Too much time spent on mindless-tasks and powerpoint presentations
