Pros

Good, employee owned culture with lots of autonomy and potential for advancement for the competent and diligent. Midwestern location makes for much better work/ life balance versus East Coast financial services firms, although pay is somewhat lower.

Cons

You could make more money in New York, also smaller IB/ Asset Management community in the Chicago/ Milwaukee region.

Pros

-culture : work life balance, challenge decisions -Flexible schedule -Work from home -Privately held

Cons

-Business' emotions are the limiting factor. So while IT actually does an amazing job of embracing and executing agile methodologies--The business needs to think for awhile before being willing to release something.
