Pros

Baird is privately owned. Most people genuinely care about the firm and each other.

Cons

Still allows a good ole boys club to exist and function.

Pros

Hybrid working schedule and flexible environment, especially for corporate resource groups. Opportunities to get involved with the community through volunteering, as well as different professional development/diversity groups.

Cons

Extremely difficult to get anywhere in the company unless you know people, so outsiders have minimal chance of success in most departments. Management praises company culture and appears to care about associates but does not really give opportunities for learning/growth and definitely isn't afraid to drop you on a whim. I have heard bad things about leave policies, especially for mothers. Also, parking is crazy expensive and is not reimbursed.
