Pros

At the end of my tenure, I really have no pros.

Cons

I'm pretty sure I was "quietly laid off", in the effort of sneaky downsizing without having to actually do formal layoffs. This place was a godsend and a great place to work on my small independent team, and I did great. Then they did massive restructuring, added layers of hierarchy, added process, and basically just starting running a creative team like a line of factory workers. I had a horrible time with my manager on so many different levels, and felt validation when others would reflect the same, but I reflect what everyone else says - narcissistic, micro managing leadership that I now understand play manipulation games. I was put on a performance improvement plan and finally quit due to burnout, stress, and the dissolution of a role and a team that I had from before. They constantly push for solutions and deliverables, but I never really saw anything I delivered actually get treated and implemented with respect. Company policies and siloed team policies and procedures stymie actual effectiveness, and it seems like the leadership acts as your strict grade school teacher rather than having your back.

Pros

The hybrid schedule was nice

Cons

I was there for 6 months. I'm not bad at my job. BambooHR's team for Business Development Representatives (The people who set up appointments for the AE's to sell). Politics is a huge aspect in this position, Also the dream for them was to have like 60 BDR's which ultimately and not enough bandwidth to support that level of workforce. The majority of the BDR's there struggle to hit, because management gives irresponsible goals to satisfy the Finance department. Trust the BDR's hate what's going on, Many have quit, and many are on PIP's because management is throwing goals that cannot be achieved at this org's current level. Toxic managers, great people, but when it comes to the paycheck they can be pretty nasty to people behind their backs. Same thing with the director of bdr's and sdr's. Will say genuine sounding things only to stick it you when your backs turned. Add the pay into this, and since almost none of the BDR's around (15-20) of us where hitting our accelerators and that's a huge deal, the competition we have with other companies coupled with the pay you get makes this job not worth it. If you're an AE you would be better off, and don't consider being an SDR, you will be making pennies.
