      Pros

      If you look into your position and realize the wonderful things that you are doing for this population of people, you are ok with the changes and the difficulties that can arise. Just like any job, there are good things and not-so-good things, but ultimately, it comes down to whether you want to help make a difference in this community.

      Cons

      It is what you make of it, you know the population that you are serving so it's up to you if that's how you want to help make a difference in this world.

      Great people but hard work

      Pros

      So many great people who really love working with children; pay is a little higher than other employers.

      Cons

      The work is hard. Children have many behaviors so you will always be on the defense. The turn-over rate of paraprofessionals is very high. They will only allow 15 minute breaks and no lunch when staff is short and that is often. Ridiculous point system for being late or even calling in sick.
