Pros

Being part of a team of advocates for the persons served with traumatic brain injury, whether acquired or inherited. CEO Toni Pergolin is open to communications, down to earth, innovative and accessible. Values and Mission Statement are in line with my personal code of ethics and are authentically practiced.

Cons

Pay rate is below average as a non-profit; raises and promotions are rare. More training and cross-training would be helpful. High burn-out for direct program associates; might benefit from regular built-in respite for the caregivers.

Pros

The Persons served are great to work with. The job can be rewarding because of the people you are working with. Coworkers can be helpful and kind.

Cons

Not paid nearly enough, can be an unsafe work environment. Management don't seem to care too much about your well being. Was injured on the job twice before finding a new job. Some management members are great, but most are not able to help you much in the long term. Not a lot of room to grow and make a decent amount of money.
